Our Story
My Salvation and Calling
I was saved at the age of 17 while studying in Class 12. At that time, I was deeply troubled by the fear of death and often wondered, “If I die today, where will I go?”
During a prayer meeting, I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Saviour. From that day, the fear of death left me, and God gave me the assurance of salvation.
I was later baptized and began growing in the Word of God, prayer, faith, and ministry. As I served in the church, the Lord gradually placed a clear calling in my heart to dedicate my life to full-time ministry.
After serving in different ministries, the Lord confirmed that I should step out and begin a ministry of my own. He gave me the name United Family Christian Church (குடும்ப ஐக்கிய கிறிஸ்தவ சபை) and, through prayer, fasting, and His guidance, led me to the place He had prepared.
The Beginning of the Ministry
When we arrived at the place God showed us, we knew no one. Yet the Lord had already prepared a person to help us. A brother we had never known helped us find a place and a house to live in. Later, his family also joined the church.
The ministry began in a rented house in the year 2000 with just two people.
One of the first families who came to us had no children. We prayed for them, and God blessed them with a child. The Lord also gave us the promise from Deuteronomy 7:14:
«“There shall not be male or female barren among you.”»
Since then, we have seen God answer prayers and bless many families, including couples who were waiting for children.
A Light in a Dark Place
When we first came to the area, many people were affected by alcohol, addictions, drugs, violence, and broken family lives.
But Jesus Christ began transforming lives.
People bound by addictions experienced freedom. Broken families were restored. Many accepted Jesus Christ and began walking in His ways. The area that once experienced much darkness began to see the light of the Gospel, prayer, and God’s Word.
26 Years of God’s Grace
What began with two people in 2000 has grown, by God’s grace, into a ministry reaching more than 200–250 people, with more than 80 families regularly worshipping with us.
Throughout these years, God has blessed childless families with children, provided jobs, helped families facing poverty and debt, delivered people from addictions, restored families, and brought many souls to salvation.
All these things are not because of our ability, but because of God’s grace, His Word, prayer, and His faithfulness.
For nearly 26 years, the Lord has guided, protected, blessed, and used this ministry.
As we look back, we can truly say:
“Thus far the LORD has helped us.” — 1 Samuel 7:12
Our purpose is not merely to build a church building, but to lead people to Jesus Christ, build strong families, bring freedom to those in bondage, establish people in God’s Word, and raise witnesses for Christ.
Jesus Christ is our only hope, our Lord, and our guide.
To Him alone be all the glory, honour, and praise!
God’s Guidance and My Wife
From the day I was saved until today, I have never wanted to do anything without knowing the Lord’s will. I have sought to live and serve according to His will and guidance.
My marriage was also completely according to God’s leading. I did not choose a wife for myself; the Lord clearly spoke to me and led me to marry Omega Devagunaseeli, who is my wife and God’s precious gift to me.
Since the day I married her, she has been a great blessing in my life. From humble and difficult beginnings, the Lord has brought me and our ministry to where we are today, and I believe He has greatly blessed me through my wife.
She has been my greatest support in every area of life and ministry. Her cooperation, wisdom, understanding, and commitment have played a very important part in the growth of our ministry.
Through every challenge and struggle, the Lord has guided us, and my wife has stood faithfully by my side, helping me continue in ministry. By God’s grace, we have overcome many difficulties, and the ministry continues to stand strong today.
For the precious gift of my wife and for her faithful support throughout these years, I sincerely thank God.
